absolutely love this! I'm really curious as to how you made the light through the trees, could be just a flat image but it also look like a tridimensional object, I can't tell... amazing job!

The light is a cone with a texture on it. Its still a 3D object, but its on a different render layer that I multiply with the main scene layer behind it. The light spot on the ground is done in texture. In a game engine I use actual lights with the 3D light cone method, but I no longer use render layers. Instead I use shaders.
